Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Giordana bib issue

Got a pair of the Silverlines and they are falling apart after 2 rides. Handwashed in Woolite after boyh rides. Seams in the crotch are coming apart and the chamois is coming unstitched. I'm not real happy right now. I'm hoping bicyclinghub.com will pay the return shipping.

Wow - that sucks. I feel bad because I recommended them, but I have several thousand miles in both pairs that I have and they are still 100% fine.

I've had two pair of Silverlines (both brand new) come apart after one ride each. The elastic band on the legs just unraveled on both.
Went to PI bibs and won't look back...

Hey not your fault...... I guess it isnt all bad since I really need a medium and a half to really be comfortable. M was a tad to tight and L was a tad to large. Yea I know....I'm fussy. I'm just annoyed at all the mailing back and forth.

I think I'm going to try the Descente X Aero bibs or the Specialized BG bibs. Anyone have feedback on either of those?

Never had a proplem with that seller and they have been quite helpful on size issues. Good luck. I think they will stand by the product. Let us know how it works out.

Get Laser bibs. Mine get washed weekly and are still solid (and comfy!)

Miller,

I've spent the last month riding the Specialized BG bibs and have nothing negative to say. These are my first pair of bibs and I'm really liking them. I've pretty much stuck to their recommendations for cleaning (hand-wash, line-dry) and have had no issues whatsoever. FWIW I love all of their clothing. Not that I have anything to compare it to as I've only owned Specialized stuff. But I figure if it ain't broke...

You only wash your bibs once a week!!! Gah! I'm not drafting behind you! I'd sooner kiss the arse of a skunk!

Lol, j/k. I hand wash (and sometimes machine wash) my Silverlines after every ride. I always hang dry 'em though. They haven't come apart at all in any way shape or form. They probably get washed 2-4 times per week depending on how much I ride.

Right now I have a 5 year old pair of Assos bibs,a pair of Pace bibs, RJ Cycling bibs and A pair of Specialized BG bibs and to tell the truth I prefer the BG. Fit well, nice construction, and I like the chamois even after a 50 miler, no centuries on them but soon and have no reason to think they won't work as well as I expect. Never liked the Assos from day 1, yet I found a no name brand(the RJ) to be more comfortable. However the Specialized are now my favorites.

Yea they will stand behind them. They will also refund the shipping. Just to be clear I wasnt slamming them when I mentioned them by name. Their service has been just fine.

Where did you buy your bibs? maybe you should talk to the place and see if they will replace them... I know some shops like bicyclinghub.com stand behind what they sale and will replace any bad items that have been sold from their store...
Just a thought ...
