Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sweet-looking bike, but I haven't ridden one.
Maybe there are user reviews at
https://www.roadbikereview.com
I saw that Supergo is selling Talon/105 for $1399. Pretty incredible price for a complete carbon frame and fork set-up. (No, I don't work at Supergo!)

I work at a shop that is a Kestrel Dealer and the Talon is a very nice bicycle. As far as the 105 groupo, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. It works very well and will continue to do so for a long time. I wouldn't worry about upgrading anything on the bike until you components begin to wear out and need to be replaced. At that point, yes, I would go up to Ultegra or Dura-Ace, but I wouldn't bother just to upgrade.

I was surprised to hear that Supergo has the bike at that price. Our price is closer to $1800. The deal at Supergo is less than what wholesale is. Make sure they have your size before you get too excited.

One more thing, (our manager learned the hard way!) Don't grease the seatpost on a carbon bicycle. He did and we haven't been able to keep the post solid in the bike since! No matter what we try to clean the inside of the frame with!

Hope this helps!
BTW, we are selling Cannondale R1000Aero's, at close-out price of $1,299.00 with Ultegra(Atom Green Only). What I'm trying to say is, the price from Jenson is legitimate, you just have to decide if you prefer a carbon frame, or a better component groupo. The choice is entirely up to you.
