Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Those pictures are hardly random since you took the time to set up the shot, focus and all. Random would have been to let the camera tumble off the table with the shutter clicking away.

Camera seems to be working well, but yeah, clean it
I'm a sucker for a campy equiped Bianchi... although mines about 20 something years older

Out of curiousity, any more info on the seat?

-The seat is a Selle An-atomica. It comes butchered like that straight from the manufacturer.

Clean the cranks at least. Chorus does not deserve such harsh treatment!

Oh and they are fulcrums, and judging from the lack of blading of the spokes, racing sevens I presume.

Regarding the photos - I think they look great. They demonstrate that the bike is being ridden.

Don't get me wrong - few are more anal than I am about cleaning a bike for the purpose of photographing it. But that is my style. The flip side is that many people think I never ride these bikes. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I just see it as 2 different and separate priorities.

Keep shootin' and spinnin'.

While that does mean he rides it, it also means he is not taking the proper measure to clean and care for his drive train to help ensure a smooth and long lasting system.

Also, i had been suggesting the fact that I was cool with the dirty Veloce. However, chorus and record being the pretty grouppo's that they are, they deserve a little wipe down now and then.
