Since there is almost no info on these rims, I decided to be a guinnea pig for them. Besides no info other than weight, there are absolutely no pictures of the rims, so I took it upon myself to take pictures.

The rim's profiule isn't very deep, but with the lack of depth comes the lack of weight. I sized the profile up to my Fulcrum 5 Evo's, which ire 24mm deep, and they come up 3 or 4mm short, so a 19 or 20mm deepness isn't too bad.
Also, the spoke holes are not eyeletted, but since Veloctiy knows what they're doing, and their clincher rims are tough, I don't care much.
To add to them, when I try twisting them in my hand at the 9 and 3'o clock positions, there is no flex, good on them.
The braking surface is also machined, which is a plus if they're used for a road bike, but in my [track] application, it's unnessecary.

Overall, the quality of the rims seems top notch, so is the stiffness and the looks, and as an added feature; the Velocity sticker is removable for those rebels who decide that if they aren't sponsored by someone, they don't need their stinking sticker. If you're looking for a great-quality, relatively cheap, and most of all, light tubular rim in either 28 hole or 32 hole in silver or black, go ahead and get these bad-boys.
Right now I'm deciding on some custom decals for them....

I just had Troy Watson build up the rear for my Merckx with this rim after several Sun M19A-II failures (he said I was too heavy for that light a rim...bummer). It should get here today or tomorrow...can't wait to give it a ride...the Merckx hasn't been on the road for nearly 3 months now.

CrimsonKarter21 - How are the rims to build with? Are they what you expected in regard to weight? Are you riding them? How often? How about some pics?

Lectron - I noticed you built them 2x front and 3x DS/3x NDS rear, are these everyday rideable wheels?

Grasschopper - What is you experience with these wheels for a bigger rider? Some pics from you too?

I have wheelsets built up with escape rims between me and my wife... all of them are holding up very well (three are used for cross racing). I personally think they are stronger than Mavic Reflex rims, and they sure are lighter.

Due to money issues, I still haven't built mine. I want the CX-Ray's, but I always have a car payment due or something to prevent them from being built. Since they're for track and track isn't until spring, I've got some time.
