Older Fuji Absolute

Hey Guys, I saw a Fuji Absolute at the local thrift shop a little bit ago and they were asking $60 for it. All it looks to need is a washing and new tires. I'm a mtn biker, but would this be a good bike to get for road riding? Just for exercise?
