pants/tights for riding

so.. a lot of these tights they sell dont have the padding... are u supposed to wear them over ur regular cycling shorts?

nub question, but the weather is getting chilly and i need something warmer

Not sure how chilly it is, but you can get leg warmers like these, or tights, which have the chamois (padding) and long legs.

yea.. i saw those... but tights are much less $$, closer to 40-50 range. if i can get away with pulling those over my shorts id be happy...

I recommend some pink ones, like my boys here...you can greatly lengthen their lifespan with a little creative duck tape-age.
