Does anyone use a Dinotte ultra 5 head light ? How is this head light ? I am looking to buy a head light for early morning (pre dawn) rides.

Got two. Love 'em. I'd highly recommend the light.

I love mine. I've ridden rail trails at night with it and it was plenty bright. Commuting in daytime I run it in blink mode, I've had several people ask me about it because it was so bright.

Type Dinotte in the search feature and you will get an overwhelming amount of information. At least I did when I was researching lights.

The newer 200L dinotte has 200 lumen output , looks good for the price

I have their taillight and their 3 and 5 watt lights . . . before the new big ones (500L and 300L) came out. I love them. Best tail light on earth, I am quite sure of that. I would like to get my hands on one of those new big headlights.

My combo of a 5W on the bars and 3 on my head works very well. Not HID well of course, but I am very comfortable with my setup. Rocking a 2 headlight setup has ups and downs. Downs - more gear to setup and charge. Ups - one light turns with me one stays forward; fault tolerance . . . if something would happen to one.

I've used the 5W headlight for commuting on my road bike. I had a brief problem early on with the battery pack which was easily remedied with a new battery holder. Other than that, it's been flawless. Since I commute in the dark during the winter, I was worried that the light would be enough to ride with. I had bought a couple Cateye and other sub-$100 lights without luck--anything over 10mph would over-ride the light beam, and it just was not wide enough to avoid junk in the road. With the 5W Dinote, I can ride comfortably at normal+ speeds without fear or trouble, easily getting enough warming of road junk and such to avoid without drama. All in all, highly recommended!

I don't think you can favorably compare anything to the Dinote anywhere near the $$$ range.

Thanks everyone.. I have already purchased the dinotte tail light, I will be getting it this week. I will purchase the dinotte 200L head light.

I'm very curious about what problems you were having. I've noticed the light cuts out whilke iblinking mode, and traced it to a very brief loss of power when/if the battery holder gets jiggled enough while riding.

Is that your problem, or was it something else?
