Guess maybe origin was the best word, I meant what the frame might also be used for, kind of like people relating some of the BD bikes to Fuji's. It didn't look like anything I have seen, not that I have seen all the frames out there.

BTW why would I want to "downgrade" bikes?! I just posted some information about something I saw, not something I was looking at buying! Also not everyone has access to a "real" bike store and as ViperZ stated it fills a "niche".
