Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I did get mine for $300 when they had a big sale. Plus I found $200 on the road the day before I ordered. SO I got a pretty good deal.

Nice!

Great wheel at that price. The '07's aren't that much nicer. I know another forum member who got a pair of '05 or '06's for under $250 off ebay recently.

Or if you're not a brand wh0re, Performance Titans, which are the same thing. I know people say they are the seconds from Neuvation, but mine have great tension and are holding up just fine. Of course, I weigh 155, so they're not put through that harsh of a test with me.

Just an FYI for you: I had a set of Fulcrum 5s on order from GVH, but since they were backordered I upgraded to 3s. Tom pulled the rear and checked that it is 8/9/10 and a Shimano lockring fits it.

I have had great results with Mike, a set of Velocity Aeroheads and Niobium 30s. You can customize the rims, hubs, spokes, and lacing pattern.

+1 on www.oddsandendos.com if you can get through. My DT Swiss R1.1 and speedcific hubs were a steal at $350 (price has increased over past two years). 1530grams and they spin beautifully.

You might also want to check out the Torelli Bormio wheels. https://www.torelli.com/parts/wheels.html

I think their 1550?g set is $399 and is an attempt to compete with MAVICs higher end stuff. Nice looking wheel too.
