Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

For Kurt Kinetic owners...

I am planning on getting a trainer, I been doing a lot of research on trainers and I think the Kurt is the right choice. However, only if it will last. How long did your kurt kinetic trainer last? 300 bucks for a trainer is about 1/4th of my bike.. The only way I see it being worth it, is if it will last until my next bike which will cost more, hopefully.

i have a kurt kinetic, bought on recomendation from a local shop that has a heavy slant for triathalon. only had mine for 6 months, so i have no durability data, though see this review:

the kurt kinetic will still be around when you have moved on to a lot more bikes. a very good trainer to use and the lifetime warranty on the trainer is gold.

I've had my KK for the last two years and it has held up great. I average 12-15 hours a week on it Jan, Feb, and March. Depending on weather it gets quite a few hours in April also.

No need to worry about durability. It will outlast your nest 10 bikes. You can buy one for $275 with shipping from 1upusa.com (excellent and reliable dealer).
