Completely new paint or a blending? If you just want the scratches painted over, that's not a great idea because,
a.) the color is probably an odd color to mix
b.) the paint is faded
If you want a full repaint, then decals will need to be made, and a lot of decal makers don't like printing copyrighted names without consent from the copyrighted.

Whatever you do, don't use Rad's painter.
I had Cyclart paint my LeMond and I would definitely use them again. They aren't cheap but experience and quality come at a price. I'm fortunate in that their facility is literally a block from where I work so I pop in there from time to time. They do excellent work and I can think of nobody better to restore an old frame or just repaint a bike.

^^^ Cyclart is great for restorative and replica work, but not much else unless you have a very specific vision.

Joe Bell is probably the very best in terms of both quality and service. Acme bicycle Paint in Portland is on par, if not better than Joe, but the service can be a bit questionable. Cyclart is good. Brian Bayliss is great if you can get him to do it. There are several other great painters.
Another I would recommend is Steve Forseness at G-Forse in Hayden Idaho. Not as well known but very, very good.

Don't forget our own Dr.Deltron in the classic and vintage section.
He is a GREAT PAINTER of bicycle frames. Give him a try.

Not to hijack, but has anyone ever heard of a bike painter anmed Rainbow Cyclery? I can't find them through a google search. They painted my custom TT frame, back in '95 or '96 and I'd like to get some matching touch-up paint for some nicks and scratches.

Mark Schroeder @ Frame Finish in Tampa. He painted my old Molteni Merckx and did an excellent job.
He used to paint all of the bare frames that Ten Speed Drive used to import...WAAAAY back in the day.

I haven't seen or spoken with these guys in years, but there was a shop called Rainbow Cyclecraft in Niwot, Colorado and we used them for over a decade almost exclusively when I was building bikes in Boulder (Niwot is only a ten minute drive away) and they did amazing work. The original proprietor could paint a bike into just about any form you wanted, we even had a bike painted for a customer to look like the skin of a rainbow trout! The last number I had for them was 303-652-2424. I have no idea if they are still painting though.

it's actually possible to generate TOO much traffic, and when your good reputation depends almost solely on your happy customers, it's sometimes good enough to stay local and word-of-mouth.

I'm thinking about getting my old steel bike repainted after I put on a few braze-ons. A guy on our ride today is getting his painted by HOTTUBES, and another guy said "Yeah, they're good". I don't know any more than that, but may be worth a look.
