Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I've ridden with Saul. His father just bought my LBS. He's really come a long way and I believe that although he may never be a TDF Winner. He will at least compete on a competetive level.

I saw him several times in Greenville, SC last Sunday at the USPRO race, and I bought his new book. He looked good, it is absolutely a miracle he is able to ride at all, much less compete. I wish him the best.

Wow. What was the crash the took him out? Must have been horrendous to be hurt so badly even while wearing a helmet.

There's a pretty detailed article about Saul's recovery in this month's Bicycling. Apparently the whole impulsive side of the brain injury really kicked into gear for a while.

The shot in the CNN story of him crossing the line at the TT championships last week was awesome.

I find this story certainly more inspirational than Armstrong's.

I read the Saul Rasin book a couple weeks ago, very inspirational. Now following his progress is like continuing the book.
