Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Question Regarding Swiss Stop Brake Pads

I ordered a set of Swiss Stop yellow brake pads which are specifically designed for carbon wheels, and are to be used on my new American Classic Carbon 58 wheels. The dealer was out of the yellow pads so he included a set of green pads to hold me over until the yellow ones arrive. Although the packaging for the green pads indicates that they are good for all surfaces, the specifications specifically only mention ceramic and aluminum surfaces. Does anyone know if the green pads are suitable for carbon rims?

You can use your standard pads. The pads aren't going to hurt the carbon. In fact it's the other way around. The heat produced just eats up standard brake pads.
The only issue to contend with is making sure ther's no crap in your pads (metal, wire, sand, etc) before you ride them with your carbon wheels. A bit of sanding/filing will take care of any junk.

KoolStop makes pads that go both ways and they work very well.
