Unbelieveable......
Ok, so the handlebars and stem I sent back to ProBikeKit this past Feb/March......the shipment that got lost and I was out $200. Guess what. It arrived back at my house today. WTF. That only took 6 months. I guess the package was somehow never claimed, and got sent back to me.
Now that I have another set of bars/stem kicking around, perhaps I'll need to buy a frame to put them on at some point.
Still won't buy anything from PBK anymore.

Why were you returning them to begin with? Did they send you the wrong stuff or just wasn't to your liking?

I'm having shipping troubles with performancebicycle. I bought rollers from them on the 11th and they're not going to be here till the 21st supposedly. They shipped it through some third party of fedex or what have you. I can't track it through fedex even though the shoddy website I'm directed to is labeled Fedex smartpost tracking. Tonights update is that USPS just got the electronic shipping info; meaning USPS doesn't have the box, but will be soon. What's even more pathetic is I live in Northeast phoenix. The site says my box arrived in Phoenix on the 17th. Even if I miraculously get the package tomorrow, the 20th, that's 3 days just to travel 50 miles at most. If I receive it on the 21st, as the site predicts, that's 4 days. Hell, I rode my bike almost 400 miles in the first days of my summer tour. They can't move a box 50 miles by motor vehicle? I think bike websites are trying to skim dollars by using sheisty shipping services.

The USPS tracking is a total joke.I have made quite a few deals on ebay that were sent to me through them. From what I have witnessed the tracking site never gave me any info other than they just got the electronic shipping info. When the package arrives I attempt to track it and see it's progress and there is nothing other than package arrived or delivered...It ain't good, but sit tight.

Well that's what's weird. The site says fedex shipped the box from NC to AZ and now that it's in Phoenix they're handing the box over to USPS. I don't really understand that. Fedex has to service my town right? I mean Phoenix is one of the top 5 most populous cities in America. My friend, who works for fedex, has also come out to Phoenix for training. Why would fedex ship something all the way across the US only to let the USPS get all the credit at the end?

Yeah, Performance shipping is a joke. My (only) order took 3 days to ship (the items were in stock), and 11 days to arrive. From NC to GA. Our suppliers at work send packages using UPS ground or FedEx ground and I get ANYTHING from a neighboring state the next day.

It's the worst shipping service in the country.
If you ever buy at Performance, just become a member and get the free shipping upgrade. It's well worth it, even for only a couple purchases/year. Everyone needs tubes, right?

What pisses me off is the Nashbar shipping- "Ground" ship is neither UPS Ground nor Fedex Ground, but Parcel Post. It miraculously takes two business weeks or so to get from Ohio to PA- I don't even see how this is possible. Oh wait, it takes 3-4 days for them to actually ship it. Now I just pay for the "air" option, which, to my frustration, arrives shipped Fedex Ground. We are definitely getting screwed on shipping.
