Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like how people feel they have to start their own threads, like the 827 other threads were not enough.

And here I thought this thread was about how Floyd was cheated out of his Tour de France title.

Of course, it's easy to miss the portion of the ruling that said, and I paraphrase, that if the lab contiues to use poorly trained personnel and continues failing to follow strict and consistent procedures it may just be that innocent cyclists will be convicted of cheating.... hmmmmmm, sounds like Floyd was set up as an example. drug testing procedures, both in the lab and on the circuit, as well as the way they're handled by the governing bodies is and will remain a joke and catastrophe for cyclists. this is just a case of theofficials covering their asses.

they are covering their asses, but it remains that there was more than enough evidence to convict landis despite the errors in the lab. at least that's why there was arbitration.
