I'm serious about getting one. Does anyone have any feedback? let me know your experience. Have the '08's come out yet? thanks.

i've got an '07 and love the thing. i built it stupid-light and use it for hill climbing around l.a. couldn't be happier with it. solid, stable, i can't flex it, descends really well, and i've spent all day in the saddle with no problems. very comfortable ride. responsive, but not to the point of being twitchy. p.m. me if you have any specific questions

my opinion is that time is making the best carbon bikes on the market. they are the ultimate balance between weight/stiffness/ride. Only one other frame maker uses the expensive methods to produce the carbon tubing.
You'll love it.

I have a 2003 VX Special Pro (aluminum lugs) that was replaced by the VXR (carbon lugs). I love my VX but keep looking for a good deal on a VXR. The VXR is about a pound lighter.
The 2008 models are not out yet. The new VXRS Ulteam World Star was presented at the Paris show last week. I do not know if the VXR was updated for this year.
Time is the really a leader in carbon bikes. As mentioned above they produce their own carbon fibers and the bikes are all hand made in France. Their designs are not at the top of the fashion ladder but their ride quality is second to none.

I looked at getting one a few weeks ago but seems like 08 and 07 are identical so they were not on sale. I suppose I'll wait another year.

Wrench Science already has the new VXRS Ulteam Worldstar on their website. There doesn't seem to be any other changes regarding the other models for 2008.

I bought Time's lower end model Edge Translink a couple of months ago and couldn't be happier. I've ridden a century and a double on it and it's much more comfortable than my Cannondale CAAD7.

Time gets a thumbs up
Let me start with a negative: Time *is* very expensive. You pay for the name and for the Made In France labour costs. That is it about the negatives. Colnago has a similar problem with their C50, Extreme-Power and Extreme-C models.
I know a couple of guys on 2007 VXR ProTeam and one on 2007 Ulteam VXRS. All are happy. Buy it *if* the geometry and size fits you. I have 2007 Time Edge First, their entry level model, and based on that frame (after ~6000km ridden so far) I would say it would be very hard to improve it, which is to say you might even consider saving money and buying one of Time's lower ranked models like Edge Racer or VXS. The weight difference is ~300 grams or less (frame+fork) which you won't notice and the extra money saved can be put towards a better wheelset, which you will notice. The ride of my 2007 Edge First is very smooooooooth. And if you are not very heavy, Edge is stiff enough. I weigh ~70kg (~150lbs). Avoid Translink seatpost if you are over 85kg or be prepared to insert a regular seatpost inside Translink (which is to say: why have one?).

I've got a 07 VXRS and cannot find one thing I don't love except the the chunky head stem. I ride ITM K Sword bars and think I'll put their stem on as well.
Just been on holiday in Italy, rode from Geneva to Trieste through the Dolomites the bike was a joy to ride

Thanks for the input. I am salivating over it and ready to pounce on it. I understand the '08 Proteam is unchanged from '07? Anyone hear differently?

+1. Time stems look ugly. I sold mine and got a FSA OS-105. It's aluminum but about as light and much better looking.
