Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Must be nice to be able to dial it in in one day. It usually takes me weeks....sometimes never.

Nice looking rig...enjoy.

Looks good. You should consider moving the sensor to the front of the fork.

Nice. I'm going to be riding the same frame (what size is that) soon. Bought the Motobecan Le Champion SL Force earlier in the summer and just received the unmarked RS-like frame earlier this week. In the shop right now for the swap.

Nice! The rest of the parts for my build come in today and tomorrow (I hope). Is this from the group buy? Nice job on the decals. How hard were they to get on correctly? I will probably leave mine off initially, but wonder how many of you will add the "optional" decals.

Hey Walter. This bike was prebuilt by David @ Cycle Spectrum in Houston, Texas. The decals were already on it. I'd probably pull them off if they weren't cleared over, although they do look pretty good!

Well, it will take about a week to fine tune, but today will be my initial "long" ride so I'll do the main fitting stuff and then as I ride it I'll tweak the position.

Yes, the frames look very similiar. It's a sweet riding frame that's for sure. I rode it today for the first time on a training ride and I was very impressed. It's very stiff and responsive with the components I went with. The only mishap was that when I went to put my bottle back in my carbon fiber bottle cage, the cage snapped and then I had to endure the thing buzzing at me the rest of my ride. I guess that will happen with 16g carbon cages!

Here is a picture of mine (still in progress)

The crank and derailleurs are new, but other stuff moved from my previous bike. I plan to replace the bar tape with black. I still have to keep my Brooks saddle; no way it's going away.

I had a GREAT ride on it today, about 43 miles. There was some major admiration of the new frame from other riders who had seen my old bike. One kept talking about how nice a frame it was. His jaw dropped when I told him what I paid.

Later, his comment was that I seemed at lot faster on this bike. Some of it is probably just psychological, but I attribute some to the stiffness of the carbon frame and new cranks, and to the fact that this one is better sized for me. My previous frame was a bit too small.

Having a great time, and I'm really enjoying this new ride!

Walter
