Must be super top level quality
What would be a good price if you assume same quality as $80 to $100 standard retail peices???

I never visit those forums and would much rather see it here where the traffic is greatest. As for limiting the options, that's the wrong way to go about it. The more that are offered as a special, the more choices it gives people instead of boxing them into a simple yes or no decision.

I understand lots of people want wheels
We are selling tons of wheels on bikeisland; I mean tons
https://www.bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BK...nd%20Wheelsets
we even have bike shops that buy wheels from bikeisland all the time
I think the new VueltaXRP road team SL at 1450 grams are so is a super nice wheelset.
I know the building shop on these [who has built for about every brand name]
for light racxe wheels they are great
is this thype of wheel members would like cheap? or something else?

I think the people I quoted above are interested in carbon, tubular race wheels. Gigantex rims. Similar to the links I posted before in this thread:
https://www.chucksbikes.com/store/big_wh035.htm @ $650
or
https://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=w0001 @ $770.
The closest thing you have to them are 2kg, and clinchers. I'd plunk down some good cash if you offered 1400g carbon tubulars. More than your Vuelta carbon clinchers go for. With the volume you guys sell at, you could get far cheaper prices from the manufacturers than the other companies selling them...

you are right - we could get low prices
but sew-ups are scary [marketing wise - personnaly I love them; but the market is so small]
I can check and see if I can have some built that run 1400 grams with Gigantex rims
could just use the hubs and spokes from Vuelta Team SL -- might get to 1400 grams easy.
I'll look at it
thanks

here is my concern
as you see the dollar is at an all time low against the euro
and campy must be purchased in euros
by the time I get more campy in
dollar may be back to 1.20 - then we are over market by 12%
I am trying to get ways to reduce campy priices
but I can not fight this curreny tend
Here is a funny thing; German car makers just suck up these Euro/USD changes to stay competitive; so does Shimano by and large -- but not Campy - buy in Euros or forget it
so the price quotes are freaking me out on campy

I am down for a Ti road frame/cf fork that is from Taiwan (but not from China).
Ti is definitely preferable to high-level steel or cf, for the rust and bash/abuse factor.

That's hard. I'm certainly willing to pay more for good design; I'd suggest you have somebody other than yer website guy do the graphics.
I think you'll have to beat hammer's price point.

It'd be nice if it had a powertap rear hub too...

Tubular wheels would be perfect. Do that and I know of about 5 guys that would be in for a good price. Its much more difficult to find good quality tubs that are a reasonable price, then finding a well specd bike.

I just ask for quote with 50mm Gigantex rim
should know in a few days
I am thinking $450 would be an attractive price if under 1500 grams
with good precision bearing hubs and handbuild
CF keeps going up in price; so it is hard to get a fix on a price and hold it
but I think we can work something out

Sounds like we have around 10 or so interested parties...at least.
You can thank me later, Mike.

Any chance we could get some geometry for any of these options. That will have a big impact on my vote. I'm not looking for a cruiser or a cross bike. A Ti frame is sounding better and better to me all the time. How far away are you thinking this group buy will be? Are we talking next week here or next month?
Actually, $450 for a sub 1500 carbon aero wheelset is awesome. I'd have to get in on that.
