What's missing from the Complete Guide to Climbing?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What's missing from the Complete Guide to Climbing?

So, recently a book came out - The Complete Guide to Climbing (well, in the US at least). Of course you're never going to please everyone... so what's your particular beef? In other words, what fantastic climb that you know about is missing from the list?

Here's the list...

Massachusetts
1. Mount Greylock
2. Kingsley Hill

New Hampshire
3. Mount Washington

New York
4. Whiteface Mountain

Vermont
5. Lincoln Gap
6. Burke Mountain
7. Mount Auscutney
8. Okermo Mountain
9. Mount Equinox

Georgia
10. Brasstown Bald

North Carolina
11. Watterrock Knob
12. Cherohala Skyway
13. Clingman's Dome
14. Beech Mountain
15. Roan Mountain
16. Mount Mitchell

Arizona
17. Mincus Mountain
18. Humboldt Mountain
19. Mount Graham
20. Mount Lemmon
21. Kitt Peak

California
California already has climbs 22-93. You don't get any more. I don't care if it's the f-ing Alpe d' Huez on steroids.

Colorado
94. Trail Edge
95. Mount Evans
96 Juniper Pass
97. Loveland Pass
98. Independence Pass
99. Pikes Peak
100. Cottonwood Pass
101 Monarch Pass
102. Slumgullion Pass
103 Red Mountain Pass
104. East Portal
105. Grand Mesa north
106. Grand Mesa south
107. Colorado National Monument east

Hawaii.
108 Haleakala
109. Baldwin/Olinda
110. Mauna Kea
111. Mauna Loa
112. Stainback

Nevada

113. Rose Summit (north)
114. Wheeler Peak
115. Mount Charleston
116. 157/158
117. 156
118. 156/158

New Mexico

119. Sandia Crest
120. Cloudcroft

Oregon
121. Mount Hood
122. Bear Camp Summit
123. Mount Ashland

Utah
124. Guardsman Pass (west)
125. Little Cottonwood Canyon
126. Alpine Summit
127. Nebo Loop Road
128. 31
129 Castle Valley
130. 153/Elk Meadows
131. 153
132. 143
133. Cedar Canyon
134. Right Hand Canyon
135. Kolob Reservoir Road

Washington
136. Hurricane Ridge
137. Mount Spokane

Wyoming
138. Powder River Pass
139. Granite Pass
140. 14
141. Alternate 14.
142. Teton Pass
143. Beartooth Pass
144. Snowy Range Pass

My Personal three...

Sassafras, in SC; ~2500 ft in 10 miles. In SC they don't believe in switchbacks or guard rails. I thought this one was harder than Brasstown.

Mt. Davis, in PA. ~2150 ft in 12 miles or so. Well, PA deserves *something*, and this is a beautiful country ride.

Spruce Knob, WV. ~3000 ft, most of which is in 10 miles.

I might add Black Mountain in Kentucky when I get a chance.

Is there a list anywhere which shows climbs 22-93? I haven't had a chance to check out the book yet and am curious about the California climbs.

Tough cookies. I could type them in, but consider it retribution for having so many in the book.

Seriously. 72 climb descriptions in YOUR state. Just buy the book.

+1 Apparently you've already answered. Are Baldy or any of the climbs in the San Gabriel Valley on the list?

No site or book can be complete...

All lists must be taken with a grain of salt...

Or a different question - when are they going to allow bikes on Pike's?
