Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Force Upgrade Coming Soon.

Bought some Force Shifters today at the Swap Meet. Got my hands on a rear der. this afternoon. Looking forward to upgrading from Ultegra. Also picked up a Fox Talas RC for a cheap price to for a future MTB project.

Might sound like a dumb question but, I can get away running a shimano cassette and chain right? I know Sram Cassette/Chain works with Shimano. Just want to re-affirm my prior training.

Yes!
I also upgraded from ultegra to Force. Started with shifters and rear derailure, then later with the calipers and front derailure. My crank and cassette are still shimano!

That was my thinking... My last 3 mountain bikes had Sram Cassette and Chain. I personally prefer Sram bits, mostly because weight to price is damn good.
