I'd rather side with the felt riders, they are more avid about thier bike than any other riders on different bikes. I think within a few years they will be one of the better brands.

I've never ridden them, riding buddy of mine rides an F75 and he loves it. Looks like they make some sweet bikes, i've been looking at some of there cyclocross bikes.

I'm not a fan of any of Felt's bikes. IMO they look very generic in a Chinese open mold sort of way.

I rented an F5 with 105 last week for a day. It was a bike. I kind of liked the saddle but it was an OEM labeled as "Felt SL" and it doesn't seem like they spec that saddle any more.

Because they sponsor pro racing, make attractive bikes and they're not 'insert big brand here'. Nothing more.
My story with Felt begins a few years ago with a Time Trial bike - the dead sexy B16, to be precise. I bought it for $2,500 at a LBS because, after entering a number of sprint tris with a 1990 Trek 1000 w drop bars and downtube shifters, I thought it might be time for an upgrade.
It took a few days for me to realize that the carbon frame was a piece of junk. The frame flexed like a wet noodle, so much so that the owner of a large Felt dealer just across the GW bridge from NYC (NY'ers know who I'm talking about) proclaimed the frame defective. Fortunately, he said, the Felt reps were going to be at his shop the following weekend. And so I waited a week and returned.
The three Felt reps could not have been more dismissive. Correction: insulting. They outright said that it was a cheap bike, and that I made a mistake in my purchase. They said what I should have bought was a DA (at that time the DA was $10,000), but that they couldn't help because they were sold out of the DA. Not what anyone prefers to hear after dropping 2,500 on a tbike. And no, I was not after their top-of-the-line bike that they couldn't do me the favor of selling to me.

Needless to say, it went up on ebay the following week. After 3 weeks of ownership, I wasn't terribly happy about taking the resale hit, but I was even less happy about my decision to buy it in the first place and the terrible customer service. I felt swindled.
In the end, I picked up a Specialized, which turned out to be the best bike I've ever owned.

I love my z85. For my first purchased new modern road bike it has been utterly fantastic. I test rode specialized, trek, cannondale, bianchi, ridley, and Fuji bikes, and the Felt more thank took the cake. It fit like a glove right off the rack. I haven't even changed the OEM saddle, which is the most comfortable one I have on any of my bikes (or has ever been on any of them, including a pricy Fizik saddle on one!) Also came in at just over a grand, which was right around where all the other bikes I test rode were, but it came with 105s and most of the others were Tiagra.

Weird, I had the same thing! Sounded like it was coming from the bottom bracket, except the noise started after a week off the rack. And the cabling rattled. And the frame creeked. Sheesh, the more I think about it, the more I remember how terrible of a bike it was. Good riddance!

I bought the z85 because in 2012 it was $200 cheaper than the Giant Defy, but just as comfortable with better components. It also had better components than the Caad8 and Alez that I considered, but in my very obese and un-flexible condition at the time, I didn't even consider those bikes after test riding them because they weren't as comfortable as the z85 or Defy. I'm still happy with everything but the crank set on it. The cheap FSA Viero chain rings warp often.

I was looking at a Felt for my first road bike, And a co-worker told me they were a low-end bike. I bought a Caad10 in Aug. And now Im looking for a carbon bike and I been checking out the Felts again.
