Wow. He must use Tyler Hamilton's webmaster. Looks like he updates it about as frequently.

I have to wonder what the point is of including him (without identifying him) when maybe 0.1% of the population has ever even heard of him and maybe 0.000001% would recognize him. I "relate" to cycling a good bit more than the average tv viewer and I had no clue who he was when I saw the commercial on tv.

I saw that and thought it was pretty cool, too.

He is probably meant to represent the Tour of California...
I think they are proud to have such a high profile race in their State...
But it doesn't make me want to visit California...
Nothing against the Left Coast...

Levi apparently has one credential that Lance does not. He rode in the Tour of California. It was an authentic pro cyclist in working clothes pitching the state.
I am from and live in Florida. We have no comparable cycling event.
I saw other people in the commercial that I did not recognize.
I did recognize the governor!

Armstrong, Hincapie, Leipheimer are probably the 3 most recognized faces of US cycling. Granted Lance is the popular media darling and Levi seems to lack his killer instinct but if you follow cycling at all you couldn't mistake him for anyone else.

Yeah, there were plenty of people that I didn't recognize. That's probably the point of flashing 20 different folks up on the screen. Everyone can find someone that they relate to in California!
