Just half? Luckily, the word "seppo" is still a protected species on my watch. Far cough, tell 'em I said so.

I love being a fat ****a on xmas day. But this year I think I have a zero sum game totally sorted. 4am special on the bike. Should be no one out there. Slot home 200km and arrive at the relo's joint minus 5000kcals? Eat like a sloth. I am going to absolutely destroy all food within 500 metres of their joint. They wont know whats hit them :D

you shoulda told them to look at the ingredients in all that crap, then Google the potential detrimental effects of titianium dioxide and tetrasodium EDTA, etc, etc, etc! :) Fairdinkum! The crap in skin "care" products is a joke! Then there's hair care stuff, which is worse. They reckon dyes and sprays are one of the worst carcingoens that chicks are regulary exposed to. I don't evenlike using shampoo :D

I guess I'd have to do it if I was in your position -- better than nothing. Also, my arse gets more sore on a trainer coz ya can't move around (get up, etc) like ya normally do on the road

Agree! :p

I paid $420 about 10 years ago for a Minoura, and I ended up trading in at Bicycle Recyle a few years later for some second hand bars and stem :)

good idea. Then fall asleep on the couch for the rest of the day so you don't have to put up with them

What a waste of beer.

531Aussie 12-23-07 07:40 PM

Dunno why, but all this 'trainer' talk reminds me of the stupid "trainer miles don't count" agrument that some of the boofheads on here go on about. What if some dude is living in 'Canadia', does 20 hrs a week on the trainer for the whole winter, including TTs, intervals & sprints? Does he then rock up to the first race of the season and says he's had 3 months off? Farkin shtoopid! :)

The AIS was/are big fans of quality interval training on the ergo. Still rots your brains though.

531Aussie 12-23-07 07:42 PM

I tried drinking and riding once, and it was MUCH harder than I thought it would be, especially at night :)

Wobbly wobbly, at that before I tried to stand up on the pedals -- yikes!

Nah he prolly licked it all back up out of the bin. Green week at Monash has lasting effects on some people.

yeah, like you, I'd rather ride in the rain, provided it's not below about 11 degrees.

I've spoken to some guys who pretty much ONLY ever do their intervals indoors, coz the efforts (duration and power) can be 100% controlled.

classic1 12-23-07 07:45 PM

When I was about 18 and living at home I went out and did 1.5hrs with a massive hangover, still pissed. When I got home mum was waiting for me in the drive. I'd spewed all over the lounge suite in the back room and didn't have any recollection of doing it. :D She made me clean it all up. I nearly chundered on it a second time.
