Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The 2007 Tour de France? I would have. He speaks engish for one. He is pretty cool. Really skinny though.

From what has come out since his team should have never let he start the tour and should IMHO have suspended him when they first found out he was not getting honest updates to the UCI causing missed tests.

I am sure he is not the only one to have abused the system though.

I personally never have liked Rasmussen. Always something about him that I never did trust... Don't ask why but I chalk it up to my never been wrong intuition. I for one was happy he got thrown out of the tour. If you appear to be deceptive, there's usually a reason for it. End of story.

Now regarding Vino, that broke my heart. Especially after hearing the reasons why possibly he had a positive doping test (ie: rediculous). He was always my favorite rider until the Tour crap... he was like the Sith Lord of cycling... always attacking relentlessly, even sometimes when it just didn't make any sense. Was I so stupid to think he was always clean? No, I was just hoping my favorites would never get caught *IF* they were doing it. Now I hope all the cheaters get caught and secondly I think they should face possible lifetime ban and HEAVY financial fines. That should be enough incentive NOT to dope! At this point I think it would be in the best interest if the governing body DID have DNA profiling of each and every Pro rider. If you asked me that a year ago or more, I would have been against it.

Rabobank knew where he was and abused the 'system' also:
https://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/...le_154504.html

..and no, the last 2 outcomes of the TDF have just been annoying IMO.

Agreed, I'm hoping the mods eventually ban it, it's just 75% junk replies.

Its kind of like the olympics, they really don't care if they used drugs or not unless they win. Then they get to make a mockery of them and then give the gold to a person who really didn't cheat. Why does everyone always think lance cheated? Hes the most tested athlete in all of sports and not once tested positive for any drugs, is it just me or is that saying something.
