Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Specialize Dolce

Does any one have one of these women specific bikes. My wife is looking at one and we would appreciate any insight before spending the $850. This will be her first bike since she was a teen.

My wife rides a 2005 Dolce. The basic model. She has always enjoyed the ride and it has never given us any problems. I can recommend it highly.

I bought one for my daughter last year.
We are very happy with it.
Seems to be equivalent quality to my Allez Elite.

I bought one for my wife at the beginning of this year. We bought last year's Dolce Elite model. My wife rode about 2500km this summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was her first road bike. I would highly recommend this bike.

I"ve got a Dolce Vita 2005 and I love my bike. It's a triple - for ease getting up the hills, it's light, fast and smooth and I would heartily recommend this bike to anyone. Go for it!

I'll chime in with the usual, bought one for the wife and she loves it. It's a great entry level.

my wife loves her's. She has the base blue/white one (06 or 05, I'm not sure). I rode it around a few times adjusting the shifting, and the brakes were MUSHY. When i got a nice bike, I swapped my 105's on and all better.

She loves it, and I think it's a nice bike.
