Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nice looking rig, Cuda! I normally say white, white. On that build I think the black tape and black saddle would look best. It's about time you stepped up to the new millenium!!!

Tell Cahill to come help me drink some of this beer that you left at my house

Not entirely sure. It's what got wrapped up with the frame from that guy who sold it to me. Perhaps I should ask for a discount?

When I warranteed my original Team Issue Frame (white) they sent me a black frame. They did not send me a new fork though. I didn't think that the white fork looked right on the black frame so I called Fuji to check on getting a new fork. When I did so they told me that was the closest matching fork they had for the frame and that it is the exact same fork with the same carbon steerer.

My Ritchey WCS post came in today. So that's installed now.

Had to run to performancebike to get a set of derailleur cable adjusters for the frame bosses. They didn't have a matching pair, but what I have now will work till I can locate a matched pair of the right type.

More photos soon...

I really think you should go ahead and run some coaxial cable to it, since the jack is there and all.

Also, cannot vote in your poll since neither of your choices are actually colors. They are shades. Black is the absence of all color, white is the presence of all color.

Very nice, Jon! I'm glad that handlebar worked out for you! Have fun riding it this weekend! Let us know your thoughts on your first carbon frame.

Full set of Campangolo Cables & Housings: $56 (before my 10% discount). I had a full set of housings at home, but just buying the four Campagnolo cables would have been $45 or so. Labor for the fork cut and headset installation wasn't bad at all.

Going to try to sneak out of work a bit early and get home before dark so I can at least get around the block a few times before taking the bike to the trainer. Tomorrow I'll be riding with the local club (PBA, DB II ride for the locals) to really test it out.

I vote for Deda silver faux carbon weave tape. That would be hot.

I had black faux carbon on the Flyte and hated it. Looked fairly cool, but did very little to dampen the road (which on that bike I needed all I could get, and was very slick when wet. If Specalized made a faux carbon top version of their S-Wrap that didn't get so slick I'd be willing to give it a go.

The bike looks great. The seatpost is hot. You really need to remove the "made in Taiwan" and "warning" stickers though and for the complete clean look your tire labels should line up with your valve stems.

1) Winter project. Yes, it will be done.

2) Fulcrums are really a tight tire fit, I was happy just to get the tires on the $#@&% rims. I'd likely tear the valves off the tubes trying to rotate the tires now. But when I get around to mounting a set of Pro 2 Race's I'll be more OCP about it.

I voted white tape, but either way, time for a new saddle
