Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

$3200 is costs way less??
Parlee Z4 made in USA?? I thought only Z1, Z2 and Z3 are made in MA.
Parlee is not a big-name brand??

I saw that too and thought the same thing. Listing it as a "Best Value" bike is a stretch.

I would still consider Parlee a pretty small brand. There isn't a huge number of them out there (It is rare to have more than one on eBay at any given time. I'm not sure what the local race field looks like though.) and even as a local dealer, we don't get people walking in the door asking about them. CT is relatively nearby Parlees location, too. I'd imagine farther out west the less you hear of them. Could be wrong.

THANK YOU! I knew I wasn't crazy!

I thought the exact thing when I read Bicycling's little blurb. I'm positive I read somewhere that the Z4 is made overseas to Parlee's specifications.

But ya know what? I couldn't find a source that confirms that. Was I dreaming?

They are cool bikes, if not a bit plain aesthetically.

Yea, the Z4 is made in the far east. I don't think Parlee hides this at all. I think the Mag just f'ed it up.

I think I live about 15-20 miles from their factory, and I've never seen a Parlee out on the road. Saw a used one for sale in a shop once. Small company, with a big reputation.
