Toe clips to clipless....and back?
have been using toe clips, gonna try clipless. I am told there is no comparison.
once you go clipless.... has anyone gone back to toe clips seeing it wasnt for them.
i am a recreational rider but would like the extra power i am told would be generated
with clipless....feeling attached to the bike sounds intersesting.

Have you been using toe clips, with real cleated cycling shoes ? Or toe clips with sneakers ?? There's a big difference right there. If you already use toe clips & cleats then you will notice some difference & convenience, but if you're using sneakers, then you'll notice a huge difference, and also have a bit of learning to do about getting them set up correctly, then getting used to clipping in & out without falling over.

I like what Homebrew said. The biggest difference over toe clips and normal athletic shoes is in the shoes, not the pedals. The increased stiffness is great. When I first went on a ride with clipless it was just... a blast. Hard to describe.

Clipless on my road bike. But toe clips on my hybrid, folder and fixed gear. I'm off and on them so much it just makes sense to be able to wear normal shoes.
