Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

RAAM 2008 Hot Chick calendar

All,

One of our crew members does a little modeling on the side so she was nice enough to let us put together an 11x17 wall calendar to sell to help raise money for our RAAM efforts.

Please check out www.360cycling.com/calendars.cfm for details....it is tax deductible.

The 360 Cycling logo doesn't need to be on there twice. The calendar looks good, but the logo splashed over the models face and faded out isn't needed since it's already in the upper left.

Transparency logo, in the middle of the calender, is superfluous and distracting. These all printed? Bad designer. 12bucks for single printed page?

Dudes, the logo is there so you don't just go print your own calendar. It's just a watermark.

Preposterous. No one would infringe on their copyrights and do such a thing. Ever.

Also - The unzipped jersey will cause a considerable amount of drag.

The watermark isn't on the finished product. RAAM wouldn't endorse it without my logo. They are ok with saying use it, they are not ok with making it look like it's from them. This is the only way I could use the RAAM logo.

Had you went to the page you would have read that the transparency logo is not on the finished product, it's there to keep people from using the graphic. After all it looks stupid with it.

12 bucks for printed page.....yep, we're trying to make money.

After doing RAAM last year it became very obvious that running money through a charity and then trying to get some of it back for ride expenses was nearly impossible due to how those non-profits were set up. So, 360cycling is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Part of our bylaws state that we use "epic cycling events" to raise funds and awareness for various cancer charities.

So... you by a calendar, keep your receipt, it has our EIN on it, you take it off your taxes. We later learned that several of the really big teams that keep coming back to RAAM went down the same road as we have, they formed a corporation and raise their money, what's left goes to their charities (other 501c3's) of their choice. That way they can auction stuff and any other type of fund raiser and the money is handled legally.

We took close to fifty photos for the calendar, I have other photos without glasses. If you buy one, I'll send one without glasses.
