I bet it washed up on some remote, uninhabited island, along with a soccer ball.

I'd chill, dude. You may end up staying home for a week or two waiting. If there is no delivery date when you check status on the FedEx web site then there's no way to tell if it will arive tomorrow or next week or January 15.
Hopefully the majority of you are correct. It will arrive and then the tracking information will update.
I called the number that Sui blue Wind provided three times and got three different answers each time.
1. It is currently on trailer number 0 to arrive in Nashville TN on Dec 14th. Me: What? That is 6 days ago. FedEx: Oh, the system is not up to date. I dont know where it is.
2. Its on a truck set for local delivery by 5:00pm today. It's 4:41pm and still no bike.
3. Its on a truck between Nashville & Calgary and it should arrive tonight or tommorow.
I don't know.... I suppose I should tell my daughter to be sick again tommorow so I can wait at home for the delivery.

OK. I suppose 4 times is a charm.
On Sui Blue's advice, I called again and spoke to "David" a dude that seemed to know what is going on. Unlike the others, he took a few minutes to check and finally told me that the system shows no scans for the package after it arrived at the FedEx location in Chattanooga TN. He opened an "Inquiry" for the package but the FedEx hubs need at least 1 day to search for the package. He also took my phone number so he can contact me once it is found and he told me not to expect the package anytime soon as it hasn't even cleared Canadian Customs yet.
Sigh.....

The bike shop I bought it from said that they insured it. I don't know what amount that they insured it for but I have the Visa transaction and emails in case I need them.

I'd call again tomorrow to see if they found it (they have loader employees there during the night). See....every time you call they put a notation on the computer. He might be too busy or lose your number with the holiday rush.
Use the excuse for bugging them again that you want to make sure that they have the correct address since your friend told you about the address getting ripped off of her package.

The package was picked up and arrived at FedEx location late 12/13. That most likely means it stayed at that location that nite. So now it starts "moving" Friday 12/14 - the first business day. That means it's only been 5 business days. It takes 5 biz days for a package to travel from midwest to California. It would be overwhelmingly surprising to see it arrive in Canada this week.
I did some research on the FedEx web site. From my zip in KY (close to TN) to Canada (like an Ontario postal code to make it simple) ground for a 30 lb package with bike box dimensions the delivery time per the FedEx web site is estimated at 11 business days. Assuming last Friday 12/14 was Day One, you shouldn't expect delivery until sometime around December 31 at the earliest. Could even be bumped a day or two because of the holidays. And that's for Ontario - you live somewhere in west - which may be more than 11 days. If it has not arrived by January 3 and the FedEx tracking web site has no additional info on it around January 3 then I would check with FedEx. But putting a tracer on a package that's not due best case until Dec 31 is pretty silly.

Hate to add fuel to the fire, but I had a package today that only came from about 200 miles away that they are showing as delivered that wasn't on the doorstep when I got home...
They definitely lose stuff it appears.

Fed Ex 'held' a bike for two weeks in Colorado. They told me to file a claim after it was missing for a day, but it eventually showed up.

I'm not sure where OP got a Dec 20 delivery date - if it's going International Ground to Canada that's just wrong. That's 11 business days. It would have to be shipped air or a special premium service to get there with the date Dec 20 that OP was expecting for delivery. I have not seen anything from OP on how shipped - air or ground. Maybe the bike shop in TN said it would take 5 business days, which is most likely in error if sent ground USA to CA.
I bought a frame from Mercian in UK and had it shipped FedEx air to USA so as to avoid many weeks in transit on a boat (obvious risk of damage if it took 3 weeks to get to me) but I paid almost $200 for the service. I got it in 3 biz days.

The bike shop charged me $100 for the FedEx. They said that it probably would cost close to $200 but they were going to eat the rest of the costs.
Here is were I got the December 20th Estimated delivery date.

Remember FedEx HQ/US Hub is in Memphis, right next to Chattanooga, so you should have a great start to the shipment. I don't ship international, but would expect your package to move from the Memphis hub to Canada pretty quickly. I do see a lot of packages with no midway tracking that show up on time.

Last status it arrived at Chattanooga. Hmm. A week at Chattanooga???
It's there somewhere. Sounds like what happened to mine with the lost address label. Looks a LOT like mine.
My bike was to take 10 days from Michigan to NorCal. It took three weeks. But keep in mind, mine started to go back to Michigan.
I'd call tomorrow.

I was wondering what that large bike box was doing on my front porch yesterday. Guess I should open it and see what kind of bike you bought.

Just FYI, no bike shop, retailer, mechanic, or anybody in business will ever, under any circumstances 'eat' the rest of the costs. They'll say they will, but basically they'll overcharge you at the outset and use the inflated profit to give 'perks' that look like 'freebies' to the customer to build customer trust and loyalty.
