When to change from a compact

I switched to compact cranks on all 3 of my road bikes and I love them---the smaller big ring causes less issues with chain cross and I don't miss the top few mph I have lost
Keep the crank and pick up a cheap larger crank on ebay---there are usually quit a few for sale--guess why!!!

Thanks for all your help. I appreciate the feedback. I am going to keep the Compact for the time being and wiat until I'm outspinning a couple more gears. I am also gonna try to find some steeper, longer climbs to make sure that I have the right rear gearing from some of the aggressive climbs I have planned this year.
