Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

In market for Bib Tights

A couple of months back, I bought my first bib shorts (Nashbar brand) and instantly fell in love with them. The biggest advantage for me is their pad doesn't slip to the front which is a complaint I have for most of my shorts. It drives me crazy that the pad doesn't stay in place.

So now I am considering getting a pair of bib tights with chamois and looking at this:

Nashbar item

and THIS

Anyone have experience with either of these?

If you don't mind advertising for Hammer Nutrition, I highly suggest their bibs at www.hammernutrition.com they are a great deal and all I wear now. If you PM me I'll give you my customer number which will knock off 15% off your first order.

"Big" and "tights" don't belong in the same sentence

CardiacKid: I know, I realized the spelling mistake after posting the thread. I could not edit the thread title (still don't understand why?)

woodinville: Thanks for the offer. I don't like to wear clothing advertising cycling industry though.

Id suggest buying bib tights without the chamois so you can layer appropriately. I went through this last year myself and ended up just wearing summer bibs with tights over them. Gives you more options for layering.

JayC: I do have two pairs of tights (not bib-tights) already and I really hate it when they continue sliding down. Hence bib-tights.

Oh wait: I don't think I understood what you meant. Explain a bit more?

If you meant Bib-Tights check out ebay. I've bought a few pair on ebay at a great price. I believe ecycling ebay store is a good place to start looking.

Love my Giordana bib tights. Great chamois. Not terribly expensive, really, at least not where I come from.
