Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Is this offer only good to those who participated in the RS deal?

No, they are separate group buys. They have each SRAM Grouppo as a group buy.

I called GVH the other day looking for just brifters. They're currently only selling whole groups.

When is the deadline? I couldn't find anything on the homepage or here...

Edit: Found it, deadline is 31-Jan-2008 and you will have 14 days to make a $200 deposit online by credit card or Paypal

suddenly, I feel like I just got completely screwed over with my Madone, which costs about the same as the new Pedal Force frame, full SRAM red, the 50mm Vueltas over at the other group buy, and then basically carbon everything else.

My 595 wants to shed its Ultegra hobo suit for the Red bling and drop some 550g, but can $2.27/g be justified? I feel like a barney riding around with ultegra on a high end frame, but sheesh!

Maybe they'll knock off another $100 if they get to 50 groups.

What's the minimum, parts-wise, I'd need to upgrade to Red double-tap shifting from a 105 group? I'm wondering if it would be feasible to get the group, keep the parts I want and fleaBay the rest. I really like SRAM brifter ergonomics and like double-tap but the throw is way too long on Rival (and presumably Force) so why not go Red w/ the shorter throw?

^^^ I believe the minimum would be the shifters and RD. Would look kinda weird with a 105 stuff though.

anyone know if their group buy is extended to Canadian residents?, I'll go in for the RED deal as well if that's the case.

ok I am in on the RS2 and the rival. I wish I could do red but I want to retain my manhood when I show her the credit card bill.
I emailed them and they stated that if we wanted a full bike, i.e. wheels seat seat post, bars etc they would be emailing how to do that after the deposits are received. Onestly 1,100 for fork frame, and grouppo isnt bad at all.
