Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Damn, $69 for the Ultegra pedals makes me want to buy another pair even though I thought the $93 I paid for them a couple months ago was a good price. I picked up some new tires, bottle cages, and lights. I'm starting to think I'm addicted to PBK--four orders within 10 days. Its just too hard to resist with the free shipping, no tax, and great prices to begin with.

Just got a pair of Vittoria Evo Corsa CX 700c x 21mm tubulars for my BD group buy wheels, they may be blue but the price was right, and man they were going fast. I tried to get some black ones but as soon as i refreshed the page they were gone, so i had to settle for the blues. Im happy.

Picked up some DA calipers I have been eyeing for a few years. Under $150 for the pair. That's how much they usually cost just for one caliper at Performance....on "sale".

For you guys that buy often from PBK:

Do you ever have to pay any "customs duty", as they put it?

Any extra charges on this end from Uncle Sam?

I've got a few things in my cart and was just wondering, before I pulled the trigger.

Also, any surprises on the currency exchange, or is what gets charged to your credit card real close to the prices in US $ shown for the items?

Thanks.

No customs and no extra charges. Usually takes about 5 business days to get here to Utah.

I just ordered new tires and some new bibs two weeks ago from there. Bummer.

Thanks much, I'm ordering now, but it's already about 4pm "over there", so it won't go out until "tomorrow".

Just as another data point, I too am in Utah, but was charged a duty. Granted, it was for 3 Dura Ace build kits costing around $2.4k and duty was reasonable, around $75. On all small things, say sub $1k, I've never been charged duty.
