Campy wheel hierarchy

By price? Campagnolo breaks their wheels down into high, low and med profiles. This is a basic list (some shuffling at the top is certainly possible and I don't know where to put the Neutron Ultra.)
Bora (high profile carbon tubular)
Hyperon Ultra (Low profile carbon clincher)
Shamal Ultra
Eurus
Neutron Ultra
Zonda
Scirocco
Vento
Kamsin
Sort of like that.

I do agree that overall the Zonda is probably the best value of all the wheels.

If you're looking at Campy wheels, don't forget about the Fulcrum line as well which is made by Campagnolo.

The 7s are a nice wheel at the price, but the little extra for the 5s is $$ well spent.
a fair bit lighter, just as durable (if not more) and a smoother rim finish at the joint.

Agreed. While I can't comfirm, I've also been told the 5s have a chorus level hub vs. the veloce/centaur internals. Prior to that I was told it was the R3 with the better internals. Too bad campy discontinued the Protons after 2005. My 05 Protons are the best prebuilts I've ever owned. 1600gms, pre 07 Centaur/Chorus level hubs, butted spokes. Love'm

Fulcrum is owned by Campagnolo. They maintain separate design teams etc but they share purchasing (bearings, axles, cones, freehub bodies, lockrings) and assembly functions. The spokes in the Racing 7 are the exact spokes for the Khamsin, for example. This keeps costs down.
So quality is good. Fulcrum uses the 2:1 spoking ratio vs Campagnolo G3. Do your homework and decide which you like better. Fulcrum also has a new Shimano compatible carbon crankset that uses the Campagnolo UT technology. Very Nice.
