Clearly you have never owned or driven an Alfa Romeo or Fiat. They look great, but the engineering and production quality, not so hot.

What Fiats look great?
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...Abarth_001.JPG even has campagnolo rims. how much did I want this car as a child, watching it rally, the sound of the 80's rally cars can not be matched. We had a low spec 131, my dad would start a fire under the engine in winter to get it to start. There are many very good looking fiat, alfa and lancia and they drive better than most. Quality may not be there, but the chassis is. |
I suppose you like ******* as well.

Yeah, those Nikon, Canon and Mamiya cameras are just total crap. Who would want any of that junk? :D
I think you can say that Swiss precision is better than high-quality mass production, but in most cases you're splitting hairs, and I can't even count how many pro shooters use Japanese-made cameras and optics. Or for bikes, how many pros ride Asian-made frames and components. Is it me, or does it seem unlikely that Dura-Ace is made in Italy? :) A factory is a factory is a factory. All Pinarello needs is a) good relationships with the manufacturers and b) good QA staff, and it doesn't matter one bit where it comes from. |
