Zipp 202 Strength
I'm getting ready for a road race here in the end of march that is very hilly, but also contains about 1 mile of cobble's. Due to the hills, i'd like to use my Zipp 202's, but i'm not sure if they would be able to stand up to the abuse of riding on the cobbles. I'm not worried about breaking them just because they were expensive, i'm only worried about breaking them and then having to wait for the wheel truck for a replacement and getting dropped. So my question is, does anyone have any personal experience or know just how strong these wheels are and if they can withstand riding on such rough roads. And if it matters, i weigh 165 pounds.

I owned a set of those, maybe I got a bad set. I weigh 150 & when I rode them on known smooth roads they would not stay true. I was gentle on them & they were a nightmare. I assume you have been using them since you said "my" Zipp 202s.
If you have had good luck they might be okay, but the cobbles could definitely tear them up.

Yeah i used them for several road races and technical crits last year, but those were all on smooth roads. Havent had any problems *yet* with them staying true.

Would this be one Hillsboro-Roubaix?
I'll be riding my 50mm carbon wheels. But I'll also be weighing 138lbs, the Pro's will drill it up to and over the cobbles, and I'll be pretty much floating over the cobblestones.

Yeah. He was riding 303s, but had to switch bikes early on, and apparently the replacement bike had 202s. Found this out from Waldo, a BF member who works for Zipp. They were also ridden by the 4th place finisher at P-R last year.

Had no idea, I figured if they were going to ride carbon tubies they'd be on 404's or 808's. I wonder why they went with a super light weight over aero. Maybe the 202's absorb more shock and are a little less stiff?
