Swapping Chainrings: Will this work?
Just a quick question. I've got a triple FSA Omegra crankset that came stock with my bike. To keep with junior regulations I could swap out the largest 50 chainring for a 45. I found a 45 chainring but it's bmx, so this a will it work question.
I have http://road.fullspeedahead.com/fly.a...xid=54&pid=147 I found http://sheldonbrown.com/harris/chain...10.html#rocket The rocket ring is a BMX ring and will it fit on the crank? I'm worried about how it will work with 10 speed. Thanks! Youngin |
Just block out your gears.

It says 'yes it will work' on the page. The chainrings have tall teeth to keep the chain from falling off, so you can expect degraded shifting performance.
Just be sure to get the proper BCD size. http://sheldonbrown.com/gloss_bo-z.html#bcd |
