Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

BeBops and Sidis

Looking at the instructions for BeBob pedals, it says you need an adapter for Sidi shoes. The instructions, tho, are 7 years old. Has anyone put a pair on Sidi's recently and can comment on whether an adapter is still required or not?

Thanks!

You'l need two-hole SPD style soles. That's it. Adapter would refer to a situation where you only have 3-hole "LOOK" style for your shoes' soles.

Welcome to Bebop

Is this some kind of generic adapter I can get anywhere or is its something specific to BeBop? These are for a friend of mine who has Genius 5s and Im not sure if they will need an adapter.. some older posts say no.

Thanks for your reply!

I think there are generic adapters available that will 'convert' the 3-hole style to the 2-hole style. That's all you need. I wouldn't know personally, as I'm running MTB shoes I like to walk, and they're just as stiff. If there's any other help I can offer, I'll do my best to assist.

You don't need any adapter to use bebops with sidis that are newer than 5 years old. If your sidis are from 2000 or something than you'll need an adapter.
