Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Replacement DA Rims - Can these be ordered?

So I was out on a ride today when my front tire met a patch of mud and slid out from under me. Things could definitely have been worse; I landed in the middle of a well travelled road, but both my front and back Dura Ace 7800 rims have gouges on the braking surface from the fall. Because the hubs are so rad, and they are a very strange spoking pattern, I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not a bike shop could order replacement rims and rebuild?

a shop can call up Shimano directly and have the wheels sent back for rebuild.
