Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

3 bolt SPD cleat?

I'm entering the clipless world in the cheapest way possible. Looking at these shoes: https://www.rei.com/product/750801 , it says they take a 3 bolt cleat. Every SPD cleat I've seen online looks like they are 2 bolt.

Can somebody link me to the cleat I need? thanks

thoes shoes work with SPD-SL pedals and cleats. they will also work with look pedals as they share the same bolt pattern.

the 2 bolt type SPD shoes and cleats are typically used in mountain bike applications. they use a smaller cleat that typically is recessed in the sole of the shoe.

I was thinking they were something else. Looks like I'll be picking these up, a Brooks B17, and some shorts, and I'll be golden!
