Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What a difference some gear makes

I've been riding close to a year now and FINALLY started to get some gear. First were some SPD pedals and shoes, and more recently some padded shorts and a new helmet.

I think the helmet alone has made a massive difference as my old helmet was more along the lines of a big round wind catcher.

Next. I try to look the part with some wild colored jersey.
