bikesomewhere crooks? or apathetic?
Very rarely do I bash a company unless they insult my mother or run over my cat but....
bikesomewhere.com has made me very skeptical about doing business with anyone other than the internet bigBoys. I ordered form them because theyare on the east coast and i needed parts quickly ( and they were a few cents cheaper) . Well the order comfirmation was instantaneous but the shipping notification had not arrived by end of business day so , as prescribed in the website, I emailed--no response !!! I emailed again and pleaded for a simple honest response --nothing. The I googled them and found lots of horror stories about lies and unanswered emails and phone calls that are not returned. Any way , I called them the next day-- you have to keep hanging up on the recorded message and sooner or later they answer and they told me item would ship that day-- it did not. Instead of waiting and wondering when I was going to be treated like the BIG potential customer I am, I canceled on the third day.
they have been in business for about 5 or 6 years so I guess they get people things sooner or later, but I believe they are bordering on fraud-- at least they are sort of scummy
There websist states they ship within 2 days.
I get the feeling these guys are working out of a closet and using third party warehousing suppliers.
Thank you for listening.

There are a select few internet bicycle parts sellers who have a giant web site with everything imaginable, take your order, then go out and try to find the stuff. It is a Wally mart style cash flow scheme. I will no longer do business with anyone that charges my card until the item is shipped.

Their whole process is a joke. Went through the same thing. "Shipping today" --three days later I called again. "It's Shipping today," Then the next day I called and they said they are on back order?? WTF

I am starting to worry about my order too. I placed an order with him Monday of this week. I too got order confirmation quickly but still have not gotten a shipped email. Starting to get worried. I won't so business with them again, not worth the $15 I saved on my item.

bikesomewhere is another one of those companies who stock no parts. They wait for your order to come in and then drop ship it from the manufacturer. The reason it takes them two days to ship is for this reason. Often they find that the stock posture of the manufacturer is not up to date, and items they have listed as shipping are in reality back ordered at the next level. Beyondbikes in San Diego is the same kind of thing.

They offer free shipping on orders over a certain amount and I ONLY USE THEM WHEN I'M NOT IN A HURRY. What I have found is that they don't tell you when something is out of stock so if you order it you then have to wait until gets there. I've never got anything from them within two week of placing the order.

I have used them twice and both times it took three days for them to ship so you definetly don`t want to use them if you are in a hurry.

They took three to four days to ship the couple of times I've ordered from them. Since I wasn't in a rush that was no big deal. Prices were okay and they were good about dealing with a return. I'd use them again if I saw a good deal on their site.
