honestly i was trying to find something to critique, but can't. You're gonna have to shape up here mister and get on the ball!!! You know I'm just kidding, Rad. Great work once again. :) |

Perhaps am getting old, but not too crazy about these new frame shapes, still prefer the classic. Your Pinarello was perfection and nothing top it yet. :)
Orca above... red cable up front and nowhere else seems to scream for some color matching somewhere else. Uninspiring chainring/wheels, as an object of art that is, am sure they perform superb. A dab of gold accents here/there to complement the black would be good 4me. http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/7...llwide2sf8.jpg |
Nice build Rad.
Of all of bike's I have seen you post, the Orca is the dullest. I guess that's saying something about the high quality of your collection! |

Oh yeah, I can . . . that crank arm is not at a full 90 degrees, more like a 92, 93.

I do agree that many people put big zipp wheels etc on there bikes and sometimes it takes away from the true design of a nice frameset. I believe the woman who designed the Orca really had nice vision with it.
what kind of camera did you use in those pics? Photos were shot with a Canon 20D 55/Rad |
Your photos are beautiful. If I hadn't just gotten my Diva frame, I'd consider the Orca. Classic colors (in two seasons pistachio will be passe', then what? New bike?), gorgeous construction, quality work...even with Shimano.
Congrats on your new ride! |

Vic - I have to admit that your Orca's were an inspiration to me - fine examples of simplicity done right in a high tech bike. Well, except for the Shimano drivetrain. ;)

I just cried.
Wow. edit: You mean my 20D can do that too?? |

Wow. edit: You mean my 20D can do that too?? "It's not about the bike" ;) 20 D's are good cameras. I've had mine for about 6 months. Picked it up off a friend who replaced it with the newer generation something or other. I wish it had the bigger screen like the new ones but for what I paid, I can't complain. |

How's it ride?
Sorry, meant to add that's a great shoot! |
I just dragged my wife to the computer to check out your bikes. Even she was impressed.:)

Glad to see you got to put your record components to better use. |

Good god man, if I worked for Orbea, I'd be PM'ing you to discuss how much you wanted for those pics. Stunning work.
I know that it's a controversial bike round here, but the thing your pictures really bring out is the way the design flows -- you stare at the top tube, suddenly you realize your staring at the seatstays or the downtube -- it just merges into one. |
55/Rad, those pics are just SICK!!! Great job, as usual.

Thank you all for your very kind comments.
Naturally, when I shoot a bike, I always look to do some artsy stuff. http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/5...alffontam8.jpg http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/3716/hicontopxx0.jpg http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/6...conwidelu5.jpg |

It's light and very responsive. But I've been riding steel so much lately, I need to get past the new bike euphoria to give it a real evaluation. |

Great photos! |
[QUOTE=55/Rad;6756233]I've gotten 3 rides in so far, about a hundred miles. Nice is about all I can say at this point. Didn't blow me away but it certainly isn't disappointing. I'm really REALLY happy with the fit.

Since I ride most of the time with my hands on top, I woulnd't mind having classic shifters on the downtube, and do away with the extra cables and have things cleaner, but that's just old foggie me. Gold accents on the components, not on the frame. :thumb: |
