Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good Deal? Bianchi Giro...

My buddy wants to sell his Bianchi Giro, and he said he'd give me a nice deal on it. It's a 2006 Bianchi Giro (Celeste color), with full Campagnolo Centaur components, clip-less pedals, in great condition.

I don't know a whole lot about road bikes, and this will be my first purchase. The bike is in really good condition. He wants $800. Is this a good deal for me? He says it is, but I want everyone else's opinion.

If it fits, it's probably a fair price.

It's an OK deal. Campy components are nice, though.

And before anything, make sure the durn bike fits.
