Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Clip-On Aero Bars for Soloist?

I am looking for some clip on aero bars for my new cervelo soloist team. I was just wondering what you guys have found to work well with the soloist. I have a coupon for 20% off profile design stuff over the next 2 days...

I am new to tri's, so I am clueless on what works well as far as aero bars go...have my first sprint tri in 3 weeks

Thanks for any insight!

If you have a Profile Design coupon then it pretty much limits your options as they really don't have that extensive of a lineup and they'll all work. Question is: How much do you want to spend and which grip style do you prefer?

Are you wanting to clip the aero bars on to standard road bars? Or are you going with a base bar, brakes etc like this?

If so I picked this set up from Ebay. Go to this link for the same set up I have minus the brakes and the shifters.

I would strongly suggest using only the Jammer or T2 variants unless you are planning on flipping the seatpost head. Reason being that those bars are easier to get you into a correct aero position without having to mess with the existing fit/geometry of your road bike. Link: further reading on the jammer position
