Don't care about you guys who are viewing it on an ultra-large screen. But did any of you braggers notice that there are 11 countable cogs on the left of that cassette vs 10 on the right? Go and justify your screen on this one!

I agree they may be ugly but they may be the most comfortable hoods ever...
We do not know...
I am glad I have these...

Part of the reason I got Campy on my first bike was that I didn't like the Shimano hoods. The reason I got Campy on my second bike was that it just plain works better. I would not have gotten Campy in either instance if the hoods looked like this.

I don't know what's so important about how the hoods look. I can't see my Shimano hoods much at all because my hands are in the way.
It looks like those grooves are for a more squishy/cushioned feeling. I wonder what they're like to actually use (and not just look at).

• Campy lengthened its standard warranty by one year for the 11-speed groups. All three 11-speed groups (Chorus, Record and Super Record) carry a four-year warranty.
• The 11 speed cassettes use the same cassette spline pattern as 10-speed cassettes. Any Campy 10-speed compatible wheel will be compatible with Campy 11 speed.
• Though the 11s chain is narrower (11s is 5.5mm wide, 10s is 5.9mm wide), it's made from a different steel than the 10-speed chain, for 20 percent greater strength.
• The cassette has a new aluminum carrier endowing it with greater stiffness: 70 percent increase in bending stiffness; 108 percent increase in torsional stiffness.
• The 11s outer chain ring is more rigid than the 10s and the 11s rings have a new surface treatment for longer life as well.
• The 11s Super Record group is a handful of grams lighter than the 10s Record group.
So it's not just 11 speeds, it's lighterer, strongerer, and betterer.

Summary from this thread for the shifters.
Group 1 It looks fugly.
Group 2 It looks fugly and I'm no longer buying Campagnolo's ugly new shift/lever
Group 3 Never tried it, but by looking at it on a computer screen it fits like Shimano hoods, not buying it.
Group 4 Never tried it, but by looking at it on a computer screen it fits like Shimano hoods, not buying it. Stock up on 10 speed shift/levers as much as I can.
For the design aspect of the shifters, I can understand why Campagnolo chooses to dseign the shifter this shape. Now, I asking everyone to reserve their bloody opinion about fit until you have tried it in person.

Just a thought on the 11 speed. At this point, aren't we getting to where having a double up front is moot? Shimano has the Capreo hub with a 9-26 cassette. If Campy were to make a 9-27, 11 speed cassette they could mate it with a 44 tooth chainring and have the same basic gear spread as a 53-39 / 11-25. There are so many overlaps on a double (not to mention triple) that you carry most of the cogs for show. This would let you ditch the front derailler and cables. The single front chainring could be on a super light, yet still stiff crankset. The left brifter could be just a brake lever, which would be lighter and simple.
This would seem to be an attractive option with an 11 speed cassette.

I look foward to getting it.
I thought the prototype shifters floating around for the last 2-3 months were a bit fugly. Now I can't wait to get them, since we have seen the real thing. Same thing with the rear mech, looks great.
as for needing 11 spedd? who cares if you need it or not, you can have it now.

For all who don't like the LOOKS of the new shifters I suggest you reserve judgment until you have tried them ON A BIKE.
A few points:
1.There is greater room for the fingers while in the drops.
2.The sweep has been shortened.
3.The reach can be adjusted for smaller hands.
4.The braking and shifting is easier from the hoods.
5.The hoods have been redesigned to spread the contact over a wider area and
6.It will all be THE SAME PRICE as 10 spd.
That's just the shifters.

Cranks are still UT but with ceramic technology.
Calipers, no real change.
FD isn't a whole lot different from 2008 Record.
