Max speed ... 86.5!!
My computer hasn't been working, so I replaced the battery last night and set off to work on my bicycle this morning.
My average speed ... 41.6 km/h
My max speed ... 86.5 km/h
Not bad!! My speed has doubled since earlier this week!!!!

41.6km/h average and 86.5km/h max... you're faster than an average scooter

My computer was working fine (as far as I could tell) but it said that my max speed was 93.6 mph. I reset it and it hasn't happened again. What causes things like that to happen?

Well, I could have sworn I set the wheelsize correctly ... especially after I did get it wrong, realized my error, and had to fix it. However, I've set it again, and will try it again.
I think the thing I found the oddest was that my speed and the distance I travelled was exactly twice what it should have been.

What I have noticed is that the sensors at intersections that detect cars mess with your speed (if you have a wireless computer). The sensors I am talking about are the circles at intersections that are darker than the asphalt.

Are you guys saying that my heart rate really wasn't 190 a minute into my ride at 16mph with a cadence of 85???
A block later my heart rate was back to 85. One thing I find fascinating since I've been using my Edge is trying to keep my Cadence and heart rate equal to each other. It's a fun game that definitely helps on recovery rides.

Do you have a couple of spare magnets on your spokes or something?
Now that I think about it, that may be a good practical joke.

Yeah wireless can be like that. My wireless Trek cyclocomputer (of affectionately dubbed psychocomputer) freaks out in vicinity of shoplifting gates. I have seen speeds in excess of 100 mph.
