Do You Carry Spare CO2 Cartridges?
I like going out alone on 50 and 60 mile rides. It really sucks to get a flat, or multiple flats, when I'm 30 miles out. It also sucks to have to pump up a road tire with a mini pump. That's why I carry more than a couple CO2 cartridges. I use to carry the cartridges in a roll-up, but then I switched to this shotgun cartridge carrier. I found this at the local hunting/fishing shop.
Six 12 gram CO2 cartridges carried neatly and securely in my saddle bag -- plus one in the inflator.

You play paintball on your bike? I have to admit that it does sound like it could be fun.

I carry 2 16g carts and a patch kit.....if that doesn't do it I'd just call for a pick-up.

I carry 2 tubes, levers, patch kit, multi-tool, inflator and spare cartridges.
No one likes me enough to pick me up if I get stranded 30 miles out.

that's actually a good idea there. That's an ammo holder for a 12 guage shotgun, isn't it?
I have one like that for my 44 mag. Too small to hold a CO2 cartridge, but one for shotgun shells would be perfect
speaking as a redneck, I have to say that it's great to see someone exploring the the symbiotic relationship between guns and bicycles. If we did more of that, we wouldn't need bike lanes.

I used to only carry 1 tube, but having 650 wheels I learned the importance of having 2 tubes the first time I got a flat- and re-flatted it.

I carry 2 tubes, 3 charges and a patch kit. It's made my tube problems seemingly go away and helped other riders solve their tube problems on many occasions.

Just a pump. I thought it ridiculous to carry CO2. Three weigh more than my pump.

I carry one CO2 tube, a patch kit and an extra tube. I have a mini pump that will get my tire to about 80 lbs which should be good enough to ride home slowly. I usually ride with a group.

Do you have enough tubes if you get enough flats to actually use all that c02.. seems like a hassle carrying all that. Like those girls with huge purses that put everything in them and don't need a quarter of it.

One 12 gram cartridge is usually not enough to get the tire up to full pressure, so I carry multiple cartridges. I buy the 12 gram because they are considerably less expensive than the 16 gram -- my inflater will handle either size. 12 gram are also available at every Wally-World. 16 gram may be difficult to find in some places.

There's a route I go on that could be 45 miles from pickup, and 5 miles from cell phone coverage. I carry a pump and CO2 on that route.

You carry SEVEN CO2 cartridges? I just carry one, plus a spare tube and patches. I think anything more is overkill. The chances of me getting a flat that I can't patch would be rare, and if so, I have another tube.

How about an over the shoulder bandalero shell holder like Poncho Villa would wear?

Here's a diversion OT: Frame pump FTW. I'll bet you I'm up an rolling faster than 90% of you guys with CO2.
