Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seat, Pedals, and Handlebars???

Hi I'm new to riding and after my first ride and during it my ass was freakin killing me after like 2 minutes of being on the bike. I have a specialized allez and I gotta find a more comfortable seat. I also have a question about my peddles. I feel like maybe the clips aren't tight enough or something cause when i'm riding if i make the slightest turn the clips come off the pedals . . . i have the spd-505 pedals by the way. Is there a way to tighten them or something like that? Last question is about the handle bar position. I feel like I want the brakes and gears to be closer to my hands. Is there a way to adjust those things or my hand position? Thanks.

You need more saddle time for your butt to adjust.
There should be a tension adjustment on your pedals. Take a close look.
Move your seat forward and/or get a shorter stem.
I would suggest a professional fitting from a reputable shop. It's $50-$100 depending on the amount of time they spend with you, so be prepared. It will be worth it if you are more comfortable.
That is taking for granted that you got the right frame size to begin with.
Good luck.
